Why, did the universe not bring this movie into my life sooner?
Sure, I’d seen it for a dollar at the rental store, and the picture on the front was cute, but I’d never heard anyone talk about it. I assumed it was a bust and never bothered to rent it. Therefore, I’d never seen this 2007 flick. That was until LOGO played it last night. And so I now must say, I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!
Here is the description provided by IMDB, “Four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband.”
That however, does not do this movie justice. For starters it has some great actors such as Leslie Bibb, Anna Paquin, Dylan Baker, just to name a few. Secondly, each story has its foothold in the larger picture of this one Halloween night, and it’s done nearly flawlessly. Lastly, I felt like I was watching an 80’s throwback film, from the way the movie was shot, to the tongue and cheek dialogue.
None of this compares though, to the one character seen woven throughout the entire story. His name is Sam, and he is the most adorable thing I have ever seen. I’m already planning on making my own life size doll of him (anyone who knows where I can get a plain Orange sleeper, and can hook me up, will get a gifty for your troubles) I want to snuggle the stuffins out of him.
Included is the trailer, enjoy!
