Turn on this creeptastic rendition of Santa Baby, and Deck some Halls with me.
_I have been a Grinch.
Pure and simple. I have wanted
nothing to do with Christmas, or any other holiday this year. It’s a culmination of missing someone
terribly, and not feeling well. I begrudgingly
gave my tree to my Dad to put up in his game room, and I was content to let my
decorations consist only of my Living Dead Doll Nohell.
It all started with a tree, it was 20 bucks, only 3 feet tall, and BLACK. I picked it up figuring it would be good to have. Then I was peer pressured into putting it up, it was pre-lit with white lights, but that was as far as I had gotten. I’d bought some red ornaments, and red lights, but they never made it out of their Target bag.
Then I got some amazing news. Really awesome, actual joy building news. And right there, my heart grew 3 sizes, and suddenly I felt like decking some halls.
Therefore, I went about putting together the most Goth/Halloween tree I could put together with things I have and 0 budget after all the Christmas shopping. In addition, I loathe the Nightmare Before Christmas, so that eliminated pretty much every website I could find.
I have to say I’m pretty proud of it, and I ended up feeling bad I didn’t spring for the 6-foot tree when I had the chance. Here are some of the things I used, also included below is the link to the skull lanterns that look a million times cooler in person. It’s almost Christmas, so I’m not going to expand any further, but next year I’m definitely going to add more funky zombie ornaments, as well as do some type of black wreath.
Here are a few of my favorite things.

_Next came my favorite part. These skull lanterns I found at the website
below, they were super easy to make and look great popped over a
light. I left out the jawbone part, because it was making them sit
awkwardly on the branches. Also I added a bow to some of mine to spice
things up.

_
And finally the finished product. I used a cool piece of red fabric to use as a skirt, and I love the Raven as a tree topper. The Halls are Decked, and for now, I am quite pleased. Next year (hopefully) will be even better! See you in 17 days!
